Polish saxophonist Irek Wojtczak is back with a new album “Rom Tom Dada” which continues his exploration of Polish folk melodies on a bed of improvisation. Also from Europe GulfH of Berlin, led by multi-reedist Gebhard Ullmann. You’ll hear two new albums from pianists from Asia, Eunhye Jeong from South Korea and the familiar and formidable Satoko Fujii from Japan with her This Is It Trio. The global bounce continues with Buenos Aires trumpeter Joaquin Muro’s second release in 2021 and US veteran saxophonists Rich Halley and Daniel Carter. Top these off with the spiritual sounds of Los Angeles’ The Gathering and there’s much to like in this edition of One Man’s Jazz.
