There’s a definite William Parker theme running through this episode, with three tracks selected from different albums which are part of his ten-box set Migration of Silence Into and Out of the Tone World, plus there’s a tune from No Joke!, a new project with his partner, Patricia Nicholson. Two of my favourite saxophonists are back again: Tony Malaby with a preview track of his upcoming January release for Pyroclastic Records, and Canadian Francois Carrier with his recording Glow, done in Spain.
