Every so often a musician comes along to shake up the creative music scene, and trumpeter Jaimie Branch was one of those. Sadly, we lost Jaimie last month, How blessed we were to be able to play her music and be moved by her passion. There’s a tribute to her in the third hour. There’s also a tribute clarinet master Rolf Kühn and music from new releases by French guitarist David Chevalier, the Earshift Orchestra from Australia, Free Form Funky Freqs, the European trio of clarinetist Federico Calcagno, guitarist Javier Subatin and drummer Francesca Remigi, and the somewhat mysterious trio, Say What…….and lots more.
