New York alto saxophonist and composer Caroline Davis’ latest recording is one of the terrific new releases in this September 14, 2023 edition of OMJ. “Captivity” is her first social justice album with a focus on creating reflection, interrogation and amplification of the essential conversation around incarceration, the prison industrial complex & abolition.
