Whenever Clean Feed Records drops its latest batch of new releases I am compelled to check them out and that’s the feature of this episode. Albums sampled come from Norway’s Friends & Neighbours, and three Portuguese ensembles – Joao Lencastre’s Communion, the Lisbon Underground Music Ensemble and The Rite of Trio. But that’s not all that’s new: Craig Taborn’s new solo release for ECM, Le Gros Cube from France, Samuel Blaser & Marc Ducret together again, more from that New Zealand series I’ve been playing lately, Chicago’s Pedway, David Liebman, & the cherry and the whipped cream on top: John Coltrane “A Love Supreme Live In Seattle”.
