Recognition of Black History Month continues with opening tracks by John and Alice Coltrane. Alice’s track serves as an introduction to a new unreleased set of music recorded at Carnegie Hall in 1971. And there will likely be more as 2024 has been designated the Year of Alice. On the bill are more new interesting releases from Peter Brötzmann & Paal Nilssen-Love, Klaus Kugel & Pavel Hruby, Jim Hobbs & The Fully Celebrated Orchestra, Kaze with Satoko Fujii & Natsuki Tamura, Aussie guitarist Damien Kingston & quartet, Michael Attias, and a trio from France featuring veteran saxophonist Daunik Lazro.
