This episode features a pair of artists from the Diskonife record label – vibist Matt Moran and saxophonist Peter Hess – as well as a whole raft of great stuff from Europe: Portugal’s João Martins and José Lencastre, Germany’s Victor Gelling, Italy’s Altomaria, Roberto Ottaviano and Gabrio Baldacci, Hupata! from Netherlands, and France’s Orchestre National De Jazz. And, there’s music from a meeting of European improvising collectives from SPIME 2019. Toss in an excellent album from bassist Bruno Räberg, and this show has serious legs.
