June 22, 2017 One Man's Jazz# 1003
ImageThe poetry of Langston Hughes is always current and relevant.  His writings about the African-American experience resonates today. It has often been combined with jazz, and this week's show features a new recording in that vein, Langston Hughes The Dream Keeper, with music that features David Amram, known for his work with poets like Jack Kerouac, and Eric Mingus, reciting the poems of Hughes, which were part of an earlier recording that featured Hughes and Eric's father, Charles Mingus.

June 8, 2017 One Man's Jazz# 1001
Hour Two features music from Minus Zero , a recently formed artists collective concerned with issues of social justice and human rights.  All proceeds from the sale of their recordings go to Planned Parenthood.
June 1, 2017 -- 1,000th One Man's Jazz
ImageThis show marks the 1,000th edition of One Man's Jazz, which began in the dregs of the last century. From CKUW 95.9 FM in Winnipeg to taintradio.org and always at this website, I have had the ultimate privilege of choosing and playing music by some of the finest musicians from all over the world. Thank you for listening to one, several, or many shows.  I would love your comments, too.

One Man's Jazz is heading back to taintradio.org, but nothing much is going to change at www.onemansjazz.ca.  The shows will be available here as well.  And yes the One Man's Jazz Facebook page will continue with show previews and postings of note.  So there will be some options to listen to One Man's Jazz.  Stream or save shows at this site, or listen via taintradio.org.  Either way, the content is as it should be:  about the music and the musicians who make it.
